Huayra Roadster

Huayra is the name of a wind god, and few lands know the wind like Sardinia: the mistral combing the junipers, the gusts ruffling the Strait of Bonifacio. To drive the Roadster open to the sky along the northern coast, between Santa Teresa Gallura and Castelsardo, is a literal conversation between the car and the element it was named for.

The 6.0-litre twin-turbo V12, built by AMG exclusively for Pagani, delivers 764 hp with a voice unlike anything else: a metallic timbre dense with harmonics, threaded with the breath of the turbochargers on every lift of the throttle. The 0–100 km/h sprint of 3.1 seconds arrives through the rear wheels alone — a configuration that demands respect and repays it with emotion in its purest form.

The seven-speed sequential gearbox is a statement of intent: single-clutch, chosen deliberately to save weight and preserve mechanical feel. Every shift has a pause, a punch, a physicality that modern dual-clutch transmissions have erased. All the while, the four active aero flaps move in plain sight above the wheel arches, pressing the car into the road corner after corner: physics made visible.

The Huayra Roadster is not produced; it is built, like a tailored suit. The carbo-titanium of the chassis is left exposed with its weave aligned to the millimetre, every control is aluminium machined from solid, and the gear linkage sits on open display like the movement of a fine watch.
